The YFS201 Water Flow Sensor uses a Hall effect sensor to measure water flow rate. As water flows through, it spins an internal rotor whose speed is proportional to flow rate, providing digital pulse output.
Key features
- Hall effect flow sensing
- Digital pulse output
- 1/2-inch BSP thread
- 1-30 L/min range
- ~450 pulses per liter
- 5V operation
- Compact design
Good to know
- Install with flow direction arrow pointing correctly
- Count pulses and divide by calibration factor for liters
- Use interrupt pin for accurate pulse counting
- Minimum flow rate required for reliable readings
- May need debouncing for clean pulse counting
