What it does

The TP4056 Micro USB Charging Module is a compact, cost-effective standalone charger designed for single-cell lithium-ion and lithium-polymer batteries. Based on the TP4056 constant-current/constant-voltage linear charging IC combined with the DW01A protection IC and FS8205A dual MOSFET, it provides safe, efficient charging along with built-in overcharge, over-discharge, and overcurrent protection for 3.7V Li-ion/LiPo cells such as 18650 batteries.

Good to know

  • Red LED indicates active charging; blue or green LED indicates charge complete.
  • Ensure correct battery polarity before connecting to avoid damage.
  • Some board variants do not include protection circuitry; confirm your specific module includes the DW01A IC if protection is required.
  • Avoid exposing the module to moisture or excessive heat during operation.
