What it does

The RS485 to TTL Module enables long-distance differential serial communication between microcontrollers and RS485 networks. It supports distances up to 1200 meters in noisy industrial environments with multi-drop capability for up to 32 devices.

Good to know

  • A and B wires must be connected correctly (swapping reverses polarity)
  • Add 120Ω termination resistor at both ends of long bus

  • Common ground reference needed between all nodes
  • Half-duplex requires protocol to manage direction switching
