01 — About

What it does

The Mini560 12V Buck Converter is a compact, high-efficiency DC-DC step-down (buck) voltage regulator module designed to convert a higher input voltage to a stable 12V DC output. Featuring a synchronous rectifier control chip and an integrally molded power inductor, this module delivers up to 5A output current with excellent efficiency and minimal heat generation. Its ultra-small footprint and lightweight design make it ideal for space-constrained embedded systems, RC models, drones, robotics, and portable electronics projects.

Key features

  • 12V fixed output voltage
  • Up to 5A maximum output current
  • High-efficiency synchronous rectification
  • Ultra-compact and lightweight design
  • Integrally molded power inductor for reliability
  • 500kHz switching frequency for stable output
  • Low quiescent current consumption
  • Wide input voltage range compatibility
  • Suitable for high-drain battery-powered applications
  • Easy to integrate into PCB or breadboard projects

Good to know

  • Ensure input voltage is at least 2V higher than the 12V output (minimum 14V input).
  • Use additional heatsinking or cooling if operating continuously above 3A.
  • Verify input polarity before connecting to avoid damage.
  • Do not exceed the maximum input voltage of 32VDC.
  • Large capacitive loads (>220µF) may trigger over-current protection on startup.
  • Store in a cool, dry place when not in use.
